Pheromone fireflies spin
invisible silken threads
reeling them together
through magnetic fields
of the blessed.

Transfixed
in pupil-dilating proximity
seismic rush electrifies the air
as fingers reach out
meeting in searing touch.

Sweat binds
nipple-hardened breast
with strength and surety of chest.
Lip-locked in fusion of flesh
time is a burnt out star as
punch drunk passion shoots hard
its seed into the softness
of love’s belly,
burgeoning and swelling
giving way
to the resolute voice of affirmation
puncturing the foreign air.

And there to catch -
were the arms of compassion
that continued to surround
in times of strife.
There were legs too
that intrinsically knew
how to run.
And hands -
there were always hands -
that held
that guided
that reached out
and touched.

And with time
the back broadened
and a sinewy body
lean and hungry
emerged,
never so complacent
to not need to rest
upon a bountiful breast

And as the body strode forward
it didn’t matter
that the face of destiny
remained forever veiled.
