Not sure what to cook for dinner
British food is a sure winner
roast beef,yorkshire pud
lancashire hotpot,Irish stew.

Have a way with a Bath bun
Bakewell tart,yum,yum.
Cornish cream to top it off
makes one feel like a toff.

Then the cheeses ,oh my God,what can I do.
Cheshire,Cheddar,Lancashire leicester,
Wensleydale,caerphilly and stilton
which one of these has won.

Few cornish wafers,cracker or two,
what is a woman to do?
serve English butter
doubt if anyone would utter
a complaint.

Wash it down
with a Newcastle brown
or a grouse just to arouse
Our tastebuds for next time around.

The cheesy bit got me, love the stuff. A celebration of British food Alice, about time we started to blow our own trumpets for a change.
