ONLY TAKES A MOMENT

Only takes a moment
to climb the stairway to heaven
takes a lifetime
to crawl down the stairwell to hell.

Takes just a moment to fall in love
takes a lifetime to reap
or simply forget.

Only takes a moment to say "Ilove you".
Choose wisely,lest you forget.

Although I like this Alice, I have to disagree with the first verse - it takes a lifetime to climb the stairway to heaven, but only a moment to descend into hell. But then I'm a bit of a pessimist. The rest is lovely, the idea that we should take time to think before we act (and of course we should but rarely do) to make the right choice.

Kathleen..You know I have respect of you.

Once again I agree,for us it is so.

A child it is a moment to go to heaven.They have no life to have lived.
The older generation have the choice.
