Where the grasses meet daily,
I can see the sun rise;
O'er the tops of the trees and
Into the sky.
A golden hue and purple haze.
The heat of day shivers as I gaze
Into the sunlight,
As the shadows lay hiding.
When the light dares
To cut throught the air,
And smiles to my soul
Once again.

I enjoyed this. I'm not sure where you are supposed to be so i just thought of where I could be- a lovely feeling on a cold winters afternoon. Sorry i can't give any more in-depth critisism, i'm not a poet. But, I have read it three times and enjoyed it.

Shouldn't you have 8 points for a submission?
Seriously, though, this is a little sparkling gem. I've been trawling through the Random Read and getting a bit bored. If you choose to become a full member, apply to Poetry Group II where I'm the host.
Now, go write another one.
