Hi jewelsx, this is a lovely Haiku, as it encapsulates a moment.

The traditional pattern of Haiku is 5 - 7 - 5 syllables, so you have to decide if you want to stick to that.

It's only a matter of months since I first tried too! It's very invigorating - keep writing!

Thanks joanie,

I am still finding my feet in this medium - i am hoping practice makes perfect! Or at least i am going to enjoy the journey to perfection even if its never reached.

5-7-5 syllables hard to do
used whole pad nearly
makes u think succinctly
maybe too structured i write freely
this may give me some discipline

Tuppence - i know how you feel i often tend to ramble on for as long as possible! So little room for manouvre in a haiku yet so much is expected.

Good luck to all of us
