Your branches
sharp against the clearness,
ready to snag cotton wool
pulled off across the sky.
Your life hidden.

My life
intense within its confines,
longing to catch misted memories
plucked from another season.
My roots laid bare.

I like the "white cotton wool pulled across the sky" lovely visual representation.

Joan, wrote one lastyear laid under the fruit trees in my garden.
Wonderous sight, too cold to see the blossom, delight to fettle the fruit.

Like a tiny etching in its precision and delicacy. Like this a lot.

Hi Joanie,

Makes me think how interesting it is what nature can do to bring mirroring thoughts up from our minds ..

liked very much the lines:

ready to snag cotton wool
pulled off across the sky.

which mirrors the process of us grabbing our own wooly thoughts..

enjoyed
