In her new book, The O of Home, Jennifer Kavanagh explores our outer and inner identities. Home is more than just four walls or the country we were born in. Beyond locked doors, legal addresses, or a nation with rigid borders, home is where the heart is: a yearning for a precious past, a dream of something that has never been, or a present reality. The qualities of home are reflected in the circle (O), an ancient symbol for safety, equality, inclusiveness, and eternity.
Join Jennifer as she reads from her book and discusses with a panel of guests from refugee, migrant and asylum seeker backgrounds what “home” means to them.
Music from Ross Wilson of Blue Rose Code.
Refreshments will be available and booking is essential. .
