Showcasing the work of well-known contemporary poets, exploring the relationship between poetry and spiritual life. The evening consists in a short led meditation, an interview with the poet, and a reading.
This month's event features Hugo Williams. His latest collection West End Final (2009) was shortlisted for the Forward Prize and the TS Eliot Prize. Hugo writes a column in the Times Literary Supplement has been poetry editor and TV critic on the New Statesman. He is currently Poetry Editor for The Spectator. His Collected Poems was published in 2002. He was awarded The Queen’s Gold Medal for Poetry in 2004, and his collection Billy’s Rain won the TS Eliot Prize in 2000.
