Hi All, I found this website today and have signed up on trial membership. I'm hoping I can get some critique on my writing and some general advice. I've uploaded an extract of a first chapter of a novel I'm writing and would really appreciate some constructive feedback.

Hi,
How are you finding the site? I've been a member for about 4 months now and have found that it has spurred me on. I write fiction largely supernatural in nature. I'm writing my first novel at the moment. I'm about 60 per cent of the way through. How about you?
