Could you Help me please!?  izzie88 at 22:31 on 08 March 2010

Hi all,

I'm a publishing student from Aberdeen - currently researching / writing my dissertation

My dissertation is on book signings, and how effective they are as a tool for promoting books - and part of my research involves getting opinions of book signings from authors (published or not). I was really hoping that some of you could help me by completing this survey I have made up - it was be so so so helpful and it is really short and quick - can't take any longer than a couple of minutes to do. Any help would be really appreciated! Link is below.

Thank you

Best of luck with it, and with the degree!

Since you said we don't need to be published I've done your survey. Hope that's okay. Not sure what counts as 'an author, unpublished'. But anyway...

Best of luck.

Thank you so much!

I guess I meant writer, silly me - my brain seems to be frying a bit!

Does that really make a dissertation? I could answer it in three words... I'll take the survey instead though

What would your 3 words, be, Leila?

Yes, I agree, a signing on its own does buggerall, unless you're already very well known at the commercial end of things, or preferably from another field altogether.

But combine a signing with a reading/lecture/whatever, and you start to get somewhere.
