Has anyone been following this on Wednesday nights? At first I thought it would be fairly tedious viewing, but the last two episodes have been quite good - strangely heartwarming stuff, considering how much times the parents and kids spend arguing!

Poppy, you're right - the mum is, imo, the weakest of the lot. You can kinda sorta forgive the teenage girls for being stroppy, but it amazes me that mum can be so blase about everything going on around her. It's not entirely clear to me what she does all day, either. Dad, on the other hand, seems a thoroughly Good Sort. And the 14 year-old son - Tom, is it? - is also very endearing. The scene between him and Dad this week (making up after a huge family argument about bed times) restored my faith in teenage boys!
