Just to let everyone know we will have to take the site down for a few hours at some point in the next couple of days - our database server was hacked. It doesn't appear to be too disastrous at this stage, but we're keeping everything crossed!

actually no, the actually story texts are stored elsewhere. it's just titles and summaries on the database

in any case I suspect Vietnamese games hackers would be not that interests in the contents here!

Um, forgive a tiny bit of paranoia, but does that mean someone out there has got our names+addresses+birthdates? Couldn't they make a certain amount of mischief with those details? And could they have accessed our credit card details?

not credit cards, that's all kept with paypal. But any details on your profile in theory yes - which are usually visible on the profile in any case. But as I said from the look of it they were not interested in our stuff at all, they just installed a bunch of gaming things.
