    ALCS are great. They contacted me out of the blue a few years ago - I thought it must be a scam, but far from it: they had royalties for me from scripts I'd written and have continued to pay royalties yearly since.

    Yes, bless 'em. One more thing which can bridge the gap between what writers are paid and what writers need to live.

    Shall I just re-iterate what it says in the interview, that you don't have to pay this up-front. They only take it when they've collected money on your behalf. Well worth it, not only for that, but also because they're a campaigning body too, representing authors' rights to payment for use of our work.
