I want to quote a camp song from a website all about camps (kids camps etc)
As far as i can tell the songs are submitted by members of Joe Public to the site.

How/do i have to get permission to borrow this???

    cheers.

Maybe i should just make my own up...

Casey, is there anything tucked away about who owns the rights? If the website doesn't say it owns the copyright, then I guess it's owned by the individual authors. Is there a link to post or email, to get hold of them.

Or, as you say, make one up...

Thanks, Emma - yes, i suppose i ought to email them if i use it, that's probably easiest.

Mind you, i did have some fun yesterday trying to make one up...

    Cheers,

If it's a traditional (She'll be comin' 'round the mountain) song then it may be in the public domain already (mightn't it?) in which case I think(?) you'd be okay. Is that right? Does anybody know?

Thanks NIk - i wondered about that but it's not well-known - it's a very cheeky one about a caterpillar munching its way into ladies' knickers and babies' nappies - not one i've heard before
