Looking at what has been suggested so far we really need a realtime chat room, but in the absence of this we could all use something like Microsoft Messenger.

Using messenger we can arrange meetings in small groups to discuss work in real time, spitballing and all the rest. It's simply enough to use yet complex enough to be of real use.

Anyway let me know what you think

Don't you need a hotmail address for msn messenger? It's a good idea but I don't know how practical it will be as it relies on people being on-line at the same time. But I suppose if it's something people really wanted to do it could be organised.
