List of Major Literary Agents  lancengym at 15:22 on 01 August 2008

Hi all,

Seeing that a large no. of folks have been complaining about dodgy lit agents and "publishers" on forums, we have painstakingly created a list of major literary agents for aspiring writers. This list is filtered from regular participants in Frankfurt Book Fair (the largest convention in the book industry; everyone who's anyone in publishing will be there every year)

The list is linked to the agents' websites which have been individually vetted to ensure they are genuine, good ol' traditional agents (no reading fees, editing services etc.) Some of them have been around for decades and represent many big name authors.

If you are submitting, study each agents' submission policy carefully on their website. Genuine lit agents have their own specific guidelines and junk your submission straight away if you don't follow it diligently.
