Just a thought bartender - isn't fear of rejection the difference between published and unpublished writers?? I mean those who are really motivated will carry on, while others will give up??

I've heard something similar to this before - the only difference is that the published writer is one who didn't give up - but there has to be more than that. Obviously a writer who gives up will not be published but persistence alone doesn't make a good writer. If your writing isn't up to standard it won't be published - unless, of course, you are a celeb, in which case any old drivel will do.
