  • A post from Susan Hill on Long Barn Books
by Anna Reynolds at 12:11 on 17 July 2007
Susan has asked us to post this up for her (she has technical problems)

'As you know we will no longer be running First Novel Competition. We have announced the winner. She now has our deal, one for the mass market paperback with Simon and Schuster, a top agent - her agent is conducting ongoing auctions for the novel in 17 countries and it has been sold (stc) as we speak to two of them for very considerable sums.
Our other two winners did well but this is something else.
Meanwhile, although we are not running the competition, we welcome all first novel submissions at any time - there is no longer a limited window for them.
Writers should go to the website http://www.longbarnbooks.com and use the submissions form.
Non-fiction proposals also welcome and also children's books, but not short stories or poetry,
    Good wishes
    Susan Hill'
