  • BISCUIT COMPETITION: FLASH/POETRY & SHORTSTORY
    by Colin-M at 17:09 on 15 January 2008
Hi all, thought I'd mention the Biscuit 2008 competitions in Flash, Short Story and Poetry.

I don't have anything to do with actual competition (ie, judging) but as I do the website and I'm dead proud of myself for sorting out the online payment thingy, I thought I'd blow my own bugle and give the competition, and the site, a little plug.

Cash prizes totalling £3,750 plus FIVE writers retreat/holidays (if you win the 1st prize there is also the option to be published)

Go to: www.biscuitpublishing.com and click on the COMPETITIONS tab.

Oooh, did you use the online payment? I'm dead chuffed with that. I met the man behind the competition a week or so back. He said there weren't very many poetry entries so far, so that means for any WW poets, if you enter this competetion, you've got a better chance of winning!

(I'm not on commission, by the way )

Thanks, Colin, yes the online payment was what swung it for me. I had quite a bit of PayPal credit from payments for stories published in 2007 and this made it easier to decide to stick my money/stories with Biscuit! I'll tip off the poets in FFI re the opp.
