When submitting work for a competition, should it be double spaced as it would be if submitting to an agent or publisher? I have looked at the submission guidelines for a couple of different competitions, but can find no reference to this.

I'd really appreciate some advice if anyone knows the answer.

Thanks in advance

I would always double-space, or at least 1½ space - single is horrid to read for any length of time.

And good luck with the comp!

I'd always double space, indent and not create white space line breaks between paragraphs unless denoting passage of time or shift of scene.

Thank you both - much appreciated.
