His one-liners are just so excellently constructed. I think it was 'Ring for Jeeves' I've just been reading, where practically everything Jeeves says is a quotation from Shakespeare, always apt and always hilariously dead-pan. I find he stands endless re-reading, too, which is a real test of comic writing, when you know all the jokes and plot, and it's still a pleasure...
