Always thought Tim Pears's In the Place of Fallen Leaves never seemed to get the attention it should done. Achingly brilliant, lovely book, v different from Land of Plenty.
Also Chester Himes's crime stories don't seem to be around much. Very unusual, humourous, real, straight out of 40's and 50's Harlem.

Also I better fess up and admit to having really enjoyed Galsworthy at one point in my life. He seems to be entirely neglected.
