RLG – or Random Line Generator exercise was begun in January 2004. On the first of each month someone comes up with an opening line.

You can write anything: a short story, a poem, a play, whatever you prefer. The only rule is that it must start with the opening line.

When you post your RLG work to the archive, precede your title with RLG then the number of the month (eg: RLG11 – Twinkle Toes) so it will be easy to find.

Have a go. It’s great fun and some wonderful stories have been born.
