I’m not sure I want to subscribe.
Are they offering a prize – or a bribe?
    ‘Cause I lack inspiration,
    All I’ve got’s perspiration
And I'll need til next year to decide?

ps thanks for the info, Annie!!

I am writing a new villanelle,
so I can't spare the time to excel
    at a simple five-liner.
    But what could be finer
than trying a comp? Who can tell?

    Thanks, Anna.
