Profile I am married with three grown-up children and two dogs. I originally planned to become an artist, having studied for a degree in Illustration. It was by chance that I moved into journalism when offered a job at Vogue magazine. I then went on to become a freelance travel writer touring the world for a variety of publications including The Guardian, Evening Standard, and Conde Nast Traveller. I have co-written 18 travel guidebooks and at the moment am writing a novel based on my family history.
