Written for the Society of Women Writers and Journalists competition on Life Writing, I didn’t submit it because it’s a true story (posting under Non Fiction didn’t seem right, feel it appeals more to fiction readers). Even though I changed the names, I worried about the consequences. I’m quite pleased with it and would like to know if it’s just me enjoying my own diary, or whether there is something in it… It’s very long, but it’s hard to know where to cut it.
