You Are Not A Stranger Here by Adam Haslett - Book Review

by Adam Haslett

A beautiful collection of short stories by the new American writer who is being compared to Raymond Carver and Chekhov. Mostly about loss, delusion, loneliness and the American way, what makes these stand out is how utterly different they all are to each other- yet the writer's voice, brilliantly original, shines through with clarity. This is someone who understand suffering from the inside out, and can write about it in a way that warms us. Stunning.
